The Opportunity

Two Recruitment are partnering with this well-established FMCG SME as they enter an exciting new phase of growth and invest in new commercial hires to drive their new strategy forward. Listings in the major UK supermarkets, wholesalers and international retailers.

The Role

Reporting to the Sales Director, this Senior National Account Manager role will lead growth with key customers in the grocery channel including Sainsbury's, Asda, Ocado and Co-Op. Sainsbury's is currently the biggest customer in the portfolio you'll be managing, so experience with them would be a big advantage as it's a strategically important customer with a great relationship that still has a lot more headroom for growth opportunity to unlock.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of the customer P&L to achieve revenue and profit targets
  • Build strong buyer relationships to secure new listings & grow distribution
  • Ownership of customer trade plans – pricing, promotions, trade terms
  • Management of customer trade spend budget to deliver profitable growth
  • Build collaborative cross functional relationships to align internally on customer plans e.g. forecasting and supply chain

The Person

  • 3+ years of national account management experience in the grocery retail channel (branded FMCG)
  • A demonstrable track record of winning new business and sales growth
  • Commercially astute and comfortable with category-based selling
  • Strong relationship builder and team player
  • Ability to work at pace in a dynamic SME environment
  • A foodie! A passion for premium quality food is a big bonus
