Seeking a Treasurer to lead our financial strategy. With a board strong in finance/data, we need non-profit expertise to oversee rapid growth, ensure charity compliance, and lead a Finance Subcommittee. Help us scale sustainably and save lives through robust governance.

The Treasurer role is the "missing piece" of the puzzle as Two Pints Deep moves from a successful startup to a sustainable national presence. By joining our board, you provide the structural integrity needed to ensure our growth never outpaces our governance.

Professionalising Our Financial Foundation

While our current board is commercially strong in finance and data, your specific non-profit financial expertise will provide the high-level oversight required to navigate charity law and SORP compliance. You will ensure that as we scale, we remain transparent and fully accountable to the public and our regulators.

Ensuring Sustainable Strategic Growth

We have proven there is a massive demand for our work, but rapid growth brings significant risk. You will help us:

  • Establish Guardrails: Setting the financial direction and monitoring resilience through robust sustainability planning.
  • Strengthen the Executive: Acting as a "critical friend" to our Founder & CEO, providing the financial guidance and constructive challenge necessary to lead a maturing organization.
  • Build Resilience: Leading the Finance & Risk subcommittee to ensure we are prepared for long-term operational challenges.
Amplifying Our Life-Saving Impact

Ultimately, your leadership allows our frontline team to focus on what they do best saving lives. By ensuring robust internal systems and building financial credibility, you give our donors and partners the confidence to invest in our future. This directly increases the number of men we can reach, ensuring that our grassroots, non-clinical spaces remain available to every man who needs them.

What are we looking for?

Our ideal Treasurer is a senior finance professional who can provide the high-level strategic oversight necessary to guide Two Pints Deep through its next phase of rapid growth. While our current board is commercially strong, we are specifically looking for an individual who brings specialist non-profit financial expertise and a deep understanding of charity governance.

Essential Skills & Experience
  • Professional Financial Qualification: You will likely be a qualified accountant or a senior leader with extensive experience in financial management.
  • Charity Governance: A strong understanding of trustee responsibilities, particularly regarding charity financial regulations and SORP compliance.
  • Strategic Risk Management: Experience developing internal controls and risk frameworks to protect a growing organization's assets and reputation.
  • Constructive Challenge: The ability to act as a "critical friend" to the Founder & CEO, providing the financial guardrails and accountability needed as we scale.
Lived Experience & Values

We are looking for a "down-to-earth" individual who shares our genuine commitment to improving men’s mental health and reducing stigma. While not a mandatory requirement, we highly value candidates with lived experience of the challenges men face—whether personally or through their professional networks—in accessing non-clinical support. An understanding of the grassroots community spaces where we operate is essential to ensure our financial decisions remain mission-aligned.

Which are most important?

Above all, we need someone with Board-level experience who can translate complex financial data into clear, actionable strategic insights for the rest of the board. Your ability to lead the formation of a Finance & Risk subcommittee and mentor a commercially minded board through the nuances of non-profit finance is the most vital contribution you will make.

Ultimately, you are an experienced leader who is excited by the prospect of building a robust financial "scaffolding" for a young charity that is already saving lives.

What will you be doing?

Our Board of Trustees currently consists of four professionals with backgrounds in finance, data, and sales. While we have strong commercial literacy, we are at a pivotal "consolidation" phase as we transition from a high-energy startup into a mature, sustainable national charity.

Challenges & Goals

Our defining challenge over the next 12 months is managing growth. Having delivered over 120 activities in our first year, we now face scale demand for our non-clinical spaces. Our primary goal is to build the "governance scaffolding"—including robust financial controls and long-term sustainability planning—to ensure we scale safely without losing our grassroots, human-led values.

The Role of the Treasurer

We are seeking a Treasurer to provide high-level strategic financial oversight rather than day-to-day bookkeeping. You will be the architect of our financial resilience, ensuring that our rapid expansion is backed by sound fiscal planning and transparency.

Specific Responsibilities
  • Financial Strategy & Oversight: You will lead the Board in monitoring our financial health, presenting monthly overviews that translate complex data into clear strategic insights for your fellow trustees.
  • Subcommittee Leadership: You will play a central role in establishing and chairing our new Finance & Risk subcommittee, ensuring specialized focus on internal controls and audit requirements as the charity matures.
  • Strategic Planning: You will work closely with the CEO and the Board to develop impact reporting and sustainability models, ensuring our growth is values-led and financially viable for the long term.
  • CEO Partnership: Acting as a trusted sounding board, you will provide guidance to our Founder & CEO on budget planning and the financial implications of new strategic opportunities.
Why This Role is Important

The "male suicide pandemic" is often fueled by a lack of accessible, non-clinical spaces where men feel safe to open up. Two Pints Deep is bridging that gap by meeting men where they are. As Treasurer, your expertise provides the structural integrity that allows our frontline team to focus on their life-saving work. This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of a high-impact charity at its most critical stage of growth and ensure that every man who feels lost can find a community that cares.
