Two Gates Primary School is seeking to appoint a reliable, practical and hardworking Site Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in maintaining a safe, welcoming and well-presented school environment and who enjoys a varied, hands-on role.
About the role
Working 20 hours per week, 4 hours per day, the Site Assistant candidate will support the day-to-day running and maintenance of the school site, helping to ensure that the premises, grounds and facilities are safe, secure and well maintained. Duties will include:
- Carrying out general maintenance and repairs around the school site
- Supporting the cleaning, upkeep and presentation of the school buildings and grounds
- Undertaking routine checks and reporting any issues or defects
- Setting up and moving furniture and equipment as required
- Supporting the opening and closing of the school site and ensuring the premises are secure
- Assisting with deliveries and contractors when required
- Supporting health and safety procedures and maintaining a safe environment for pupils, staff and visitors
- Responding positively to the day-to-day needs of the school and carrying out other reasonable duties as required
