We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Interim Financial Controller with strong analytical skills and hospitality experience to support our Chief Finance Officer across Harts Group on an interim basis until November 2026, with the potential for the role to become permanent thereafter. We would love to meet a motivated self-starter with experience working within a leading restaurant group, who can confidently support, communicate with and guide teams across the business effectively.

The Interim Financial Controller role:

  • Support CFO with planning, budgeting and forecasting the Group’s Financial Budget
  • Analyse and review P&L, presenting cost savings, improvements of monthly and quarterly numbers
  • Review and maintain Internal reporting systems, including weekly reporting on Tenzo systems
  • Support our Executive teams with ROI analysis of capex and maintenance expenditure
  • Manage supplier negotiations alongside procurement for adequate profit improvements
  • Summarising budget trends, analysing deficiencies and reporting variances to executives
  • Act as point of contact for landlords, providing turnover information and certificates from Auditors
  • Provide as required accurate and comprehensive financial information and regular data reports “ONS” to guide effective financial strategizing and interpretation for the Group
  • Networking with competitors to bring best practise financial control within the industry
  • Oversee the maintenance of Marketman, margin, costings, price control and trends within the industry
  • Control Internal Charge Sheets with Maintenance, Time awareness, comms

Whilst it might be a future development advantage, it is not required for the Senior Financial Controller to look after audits and statutory returns, accounts, bookkeeping, pension, VAT return, HRMC investigations and/or manage the accounts team.
