We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Lead QA Engineer who is passionate about delivering high-quality software and exceptional user experiences. In this role, you’ll work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to ensure our applications are reliable, performant, and built to the highest standards. As a Lead QA Engineer, you won’t just test features. You’ll contribute to requirements refinement, design effective test strategies, identify risks early, and advocate for quality throughout the development lifecycle. From exploratory testing to automated test coverage, you’ll play a key role in building confidence in every release. Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with your peers and engaging with Software Engineers, Product Managers, Delivery as part of our cross functional teams
  • Advocating for the utilisation of the quality-first mindset throughout the development process
  • Ensuring that we are embedding quality into our processes, utilising relevant techniques and heuristics where required to ensure effective testing and feedback loops
  • You will be hands on, working with engineers to test and measure quality as products are being built
  • This is a hybrid role - you are expected to be in the office at least 2 days a week, with occasional travel to other offices where required.

Requirements

  • 5+ years within the quality engineering space
  • Proven experience in leading and coaching junior engineers when it comes to quality and embedding it into teams.
  • You have a strong desire to continually improve, with an innate curiosity and an eye for detail
  • You have excellent communication skills, with the ability to proactively seek out and raise risks with relevant team members and leadership, working with them to help resolve any issues.
  • You have a strong understanding of testing techniques, heuristics and processes - and how/when they are implemented during the development process
  • You have a strong understanding of test automation, its benefits and how it should be implemented along with knowledge of pitfalls.
  • You can also prove that you have implemented frameworks and development standards for green-field projects.
  • You have had exposure to applications built with any of the following: Javascript/Typescript + Next/NestJS
  • Testing frameworks such as: Appium, Playwright, Supertest, K6/Artillery/JMeter
  • Contract Testing tools such as PACT
  • Observability frameworks such as Grafana or Datadog
