At Enable Trust, we're passionate about achieving the very best outcomes for children and young people through the incredible people who support them every day.

We're looking for a People & Culture Assistant to join our friendly and growing central team.

Working closely with school leaders, colleagues and external HR, payroll and recruitment partners, you'll help deliver a responsive, high-quality people service across the Trust.

This is a varied and rewarding role where you'll play a key part in supporting recruitment, payroll, employee records and people processes throughout the employee lifecycle.

You'll build positive relationships across our schools, help ensure our systems and records are accurate and compliant, and contribute to creating a positive experience for colleagues at every stage of their employment journey.

As a developing Trust, there will also be plenty of opportunities to share ideas, improve processes and help shape the future of our People & Culture service.

  • What you'll be doing
  • Coordinating people processes across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, contractual changes, probation and leaver processes.
  • Acting as a key link between our schools, the Trust and external HR, payroll and recruitment providers.
  • Supporting payroll processes, collating information, checking reports and helping ensure colleagues are paid accurately and on time.
  • Maintaining accurate employee records, HR systems and compliance documentation.
  • Producing workforce reports, people data and management information to support decision-making.
  • Supporting absence monitoring, insurance claims and people administration processes.
  • Developing and maintaining templates, guidance documents and administrative systems.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes, compliance and the employee experience.
  • Who we're looking for

Experience in an HR, payroll, people, operations or administrative role.

  • Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Confident working with data, systems and reports, with strong administrative skills.
  • Able to build positive working relationships with colleagues, school leaders and external partners.
  • Professional and discreet, with a strong understanding of confidentiality and data protection.
  • Proactive, collaborative and committed to providing an excellent service.
  • Open to learning, developing new skills and contributing to continuous improvement.
  • CIPD Level 3, or working towards it, would be an advantage.
