Themis Reruit have an incredible opportunity for an experienced Employment Solicitor to join a top 50 Law Firm. We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Employment Solicitor to join one of the biggest Employment departments in the East of England. The successful candidate will handle a variety of employment law matters, providing expert legal advice and representation to clients on both contentious and non-contentious issues. This role demands strong legal knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a client-focused approach.

The role involves collaborating with Solicitors, Senior Solicitors, and Partners across various sectors, including education, health, energy, construction, transport, and private client/agriculture.

Key areas of expertise include:

  • Transactional corporate support work
  • Wrongful and unfair dismissal
  • Redundancy and restructuring
  • Transfer of Undertakings (TUPE)
  • Restrictive covenants
  • Employment litigation in the High Court, County Court, and Employment Tribunal
  • Discrimination (including sex, race, disability, and age) and equal pay
  • General employment issues, from maternity rights to contractual matters
  • Service agreements, contracts of employment, and staff handbooks
  • Employment policies, including performance, sickness and misconduct procedures, and maternity and parental leave schemes

You will be responsible for advising and supporting clients on your own caseloads, with regular assistance from the team.

Requirements:

  • 4 years+ PQE gained within a strong regional, national or City firm.
  • Strong academic background.
  • A high attention to detail to produce work/documentation which is consistently of a high standard.
  • To have a flexible approach to work to ensure client deadlines are always met and clients are communicated with on a consistent and regular basis.
  • Interest in business development.

Competitive salary and bonus (Profit share, Long service holiday award - 1 extra week every 10 years of service).
