Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Early Years Educator based in Stevenage. The Early Years Educator will be responsible for planning and delivering a range of activities to encourage child development, ensuring the children's daily routines are carried out, and maintaining a safe and inclusive environment. The role also involves observing and recording children's progress, working collaboratively with the team, and communicating effectively with parents and guardians to support the children's growth and well-being.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of child development and ability to plan age-appropriate educational and play activities
- Organizational and time management skills to effectively manage daily routines and documentation of children's progress
- Excellent communication skills to engage with children, team members, and families
- Familiarity with safeguarding and ensuring a safe environment for young children
- A positive, caring, and patient attitude toward supporting children and colleagues
- A recognized childcare qualification such as NVQ Level 3 in Early Years, or equivalent
- Previous experience in an early years or nursery setting is highly desirable
- DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance, or willingness to obtain it, is essential
