Must be based within 2 hours' drive of Central London. We’re looking for a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our customer focused support desk team at TwistedPair. In this hands-on role, you'll be visiting client sites across the UK to resolve technical AV issues, provide high-quality service, and represent our company with professionalism. You’ll need to thrive under pressure, think on your feet, and maintain a calm, solutions-driven approach. Strong communication, technical proficiency, and a customer-first mindset are key.
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure all serviced equipment is safe and functional.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair AV systems onsite at customer locations.
- Complete detailed service reports outlining issues, actions taken, and outcomes.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and ensure AV systems are operating optimally.
- Build positive client relationships to support service contract renewals.
- Collaborate closely with the internal AV Help Desk team.
- Work within customer SLAs and respond promptly to service needs.
- Perform bench repairs (where possible) or manage collection/delivery to manufacturers.
Qualifications & Experience
- 3+ years of experience in a Field Service Engineer role within the AV industry.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve AV system faults independently.
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience working within SLA-driven environments.
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel across the UK.
- A customer service-focused attitude with a proactive, can-do mindset.
- Remote Management Tools: Utelogy, Barco, Fusion, RMS, SolarWinds, AvediaServer, TMS, Resource Manager.
- Certifications: AVIXA CTS, CTS-I, or CTS-D (desired).
