As an Associate Product Owner within the Equity Derivatives Product Development team, you will drive the end-to-end delivery of platforms and technology for the Global Corporates Financing business. You will work closely with traders, quantitative researchers, and technology partners to define and implement strategic initiatives. Your role empowers you to influence product strategy, optimize trading platforms, and ensure our solutions remain best-in-class. Job Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end implementation of new initiatives, defining business purpose, benefits, and technical requirements.
  • Engage with traders, quants, tech, compliance, and risk teams to optimize derivatives trading platforms.
  • Prioritize and deliver high-impact work for go-to-market and risk mitigation.
  • Envision, write, and validate specifications for trading system features, focusing on Margin Loans, Financing products, and Convertible Bonds.
  • Perform Product Owner duties from a Front Office perspective, establishing definitions of success.
  • Align technology investment programs with business objectives and desired outcomes.
  • Ensure delivery of technology investments on time, within budget, scope.
  • Establish governance and control processes for new business support.
  • Monitor emerging trends and disruptions, assessing their impact on business platforms and client solutions.
  • Collaborate with global teams and participate in occasional international travel.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited academic institution.
  • Ability to articulate complex software or mathematical concepts in clear, accessible language.
  • Strong organizational and disciplined product owner skills.
  • Experience in delivering large-scale projects in complex environments.
  • Familiarity with product development and planning tools (e.g., Confluence, Jira).
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  • Sophisticated experience in financial institutions, preferably investment banks.
  • Knowledge of Financing and Convertible Bond products.
  • Comfort with basic scripting/coding (e.g., Python, Java, C++) for analysis.
  • Experience using AI tools and Large Language Models (LLMs) in trading technology and business process optimization.
  • Understanding of E2E trading system architecture and technology capabilities.
  • Skills in API documentation, technical specifications writing, and common presentation tools.

This role encompasses the performance of UK regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting UK regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the UK Financial Conduct Authority and/or the Prudential Regulation Authority to carry out such activities.
