Join our dynamic Country Risk Product Team in London, where your data and product expertise will drive innovation, shape our data strategy, and help protect the firm. As a key contributor, you’ll generate actionable insights and support data governance and integration efforts, enabling the organization to make informed, data-driven decisions. You will also help design and implement cutting‑edge AI and analytics solutions, collaborating with technology and business partners to advance strategic objectives.
As a Country Risk Data Owner Associate in the Country Risk Data team, you will support processes that identify, monitor, and mitigate data risks throughout the lifecycle, ensuring data is well‑documented, high quality, and secure. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to define data strategy, support modernization initiatives, and strengthen data governance. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a dynamic environment, playing a pivotal part in the company’s data strategy initiatives.
Job Responsibilities
- Create plans for the development and delivery of product data to support strategic business objectives, business operations, advanced analytics, and metrics and reporting.
- Assist in capturing and documenting metadata and classifiers for critical data, ensuring understanding of impacts on data providers and consumers.
- Support the Product Owner by identifying, sourcing, and tracking data for integration into analytics platforms in a systematic and controlled way.
- Execute processes and procedures to identify, monitor, and mitigate data risks across the Country Risk data lifecycle including risks related to data protection, retention and destruction, storage, use, and quality.
- Maintain and enrich the Country Risk data catalogue and metadata repository for transparency and reuse, while tracking and reporting key data metrics to inform roadmap decisions.
- Participate in data governance and risk management tasks, contributing to data integration efforts and maintaining data publishing standards.
- Design solutions and develop tools that leverage large language models, machine learning, and data science techniques to generate Country Risk insights and optimize data workflows.
- Partner with technology teams to capture data sources, formats, and data flows so that data can be validated for downstream analytics and reporting.
- Collaborate with technology and business resources to ensure data sourcing, content and quality meet established requirements, including a new data insight hub currently under development.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. data, computer science, engineering, mathematics, sciences), or equivalent professional experience.
- Analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to execute quickly under pressure.
- Ability to work collaboratively with technology and business teams.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to document and convey data‑related information clearly.
- Basic understanding of data management principles and data lifecycle management.
- Some knowledge of Python, Tableau, and/or Alteryx.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Experience in data management, data governance, risk management / analytics or a related field.
- Technical knowledge of data management and governance, big data platforms, or data architecture preferred.
- Familiarity with data governance tools and platforms.
- Experience/expertise in Risk and/or Data Science preferred.
- Knowledge of basic SQL or other data querying languages.
