Join a Team That Builds the Backbone of Secure, High-Performance Systems
In 2019, a group of engineers solving complex cross-domain challenges inside government organisations decided to take things further — and TwinStream was born.
Our mission? To deliver technical excellence, operational reliability, and exceptional client service for some of the UK’s most high-profile government projects.
Now, we’re growing — and we’re looking for a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) who’s ready to shape the next generation of resilient, high-impact infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities of the Site Reliability Engineer:
As a TwinStream SRE, you’ll sit at the heart of our operation — ensuring the availability, performance, and cost-effectiveness of mission-critical cross-domain services.
You’ll work closely with feature development teams and our BAU/Support engineers to:
Drive reliability, performance, and scalability across cloud and on-prem systems
Automate toil, reduce alert fatigue, and evolve monitoring capabilities
Build and refine CI/CD pipelines to enable seamless delivery
Strengthen observability and proactively prevent issues before they impact users
Evaluate cutting-edge tools, frameworks, and cloud solutions to keep us ahead of the curve
Expand your expertise across diverse technical domains and architectures
What You’ll Bring:
Proven experience with Azure and modern infrastructure management tools (Ansible, Chef, etc.)
Strong hands-on experience with Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes/OpenShift/Docker Swarm
Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins), monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, InfluxDB), and event-driven messaging (RabbitMQ or similar)
Confident with Linux, SQL, and network security protocols
Familiar with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS)
Bonus points if you have:
Experience coding in Python, Java, or Go
Knowledge of cross-domain technologies or service management environments
Hands-on experience applying observability patterns and building availability metrics
Why You’ll Love Working Here:
8% employer pension contribution — invest confidently in your future
Private medical healthcare (including dental & optical) for you and your family
Learning and development budget — own your career growth
Flexible working culture — 3 days onsite, 2 from home
Electric Vehicle salary sacrifice scheme
28 days holiday + bank holidays
Team events & celebrations — quarterly meetups, summer & Christmas parties
Cycle to work scheme & life assurance for peace of mind
Security Requirements
Due to the nature of our work, successful candidates will need to be eligible for SC and/or DV clearance. xiskglj
