We are looking for a curious and technically-minded SEO Data Analyst to join our SEO team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for data to step into the world of Search Engine Optimisation. You will be the bridge between our data and the actionable insights that shape our organic growth strategy. You won’t just be reporting numbers; you’ll be using your technical skills to analyse large-scale data, uncovering trends, opportunities, and the “why” behind our performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Use SQL to query and extract large datasets from our data warehouse, including web traffic, rankings, and crawl data.
- Utilise Python (using libraries like Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib) to clean, analyse, and visualise data to identify performance trends and opportunities.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports in tools like Google Looker Studio or Tableau to monitor key SEO metrics.
- Analyse SERP landscapes, competitor performance, and other forms of search data to inform content and technical SEO strategy.
- Collaborate with the wider teams to provide data-driven recommendations.
- Assist in running SEO tests and other experiments, analysing the results to prove the effectiveness of our SEO initiatives.
- Communicate complex findings in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Skills & Experience
- Comfortable writing SQL queries to join, filter, and aggregate data from multiple tables.
- Practical experience using Python for data manipulation and analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset – ability to break down complex questions, form hypotheses, and use data to find answers.
- Clear communication skills – ability to articulate findings and the story behind the data.
- Proactive attitude and willingness to learn and develop new skills.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Familiarity with Google Analytics (GA4), Google Search Console, BigQuery or Botify.
- Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience working with APIs.
- Experience working with large websites (1m+ pages).
