We are currently looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our Strategy & Operations team and help us scale quickly and sustainably with confidence and conviction. At Twinkl, we’re not just building software - we’re transforming how millions of educators and learners interact with educational content and resources worldwide. By creating adaptable, comprehensive learning tools, we’re breaking down educational barriers. We believe in empowering the next generation with the skills and resources they need to succeed, no matter their geographic or economic background.
We’re not just sharing resources; we’re building a global learning community. As we scale our platform to serve parents, teachers, and students across the globe, we’re seeking exceptional Senior Project Managers to help drive alignment, clarity, and momentum across our most critical initiatives. We’re in the midst of an exciting transformation, completely rebuilding our experience from the ground up.
What will you be doing?
- You’ll be an influential member of the Strategy and Operations team, using your knowledge to really deliver some high impact initiatives at scale. We're talking about coordinating complex initiatives that deliver educational content to millions, aligning multiple teams across different domains, and ensuring we deliver value quickly and effectively.
- Programme Leadership & Execution: Lead the end-to-end delivery of high-stakes strategic initiatives. You will manage complex programmes, ensuring business milestones are synchronised with product and technical delivery cycles.
- PMO Capability & Toolkit Building: Act as the architect for our project management maturity. You will design and implement a standardised PMO toolkit, including governance frameworks, reporting templates, and best-practice playbooks to be used across the organisation.
- Risk & Dependency Management: Proactively identify and mitigate programme-level risks. You will be responsible for "Triage" - evaluating in-flight work to identify where to support momentum and where to intervene to prevent rework or lost effort.
- Stakeholder Management & Governance: Facilitate high-level project meetings and serve as the primary point of contact for senior leadership, providing "one version of the truth" regarding programme health, resource bottlenecks, and strategic alignment.
- Mentorship & Operational Excellence: Lead by example in building a culture of excellence. You will manage and mentor project managers, upskilling the wider team in structured project delivery and risk management.
What do we need from you?
- Experience: Significant experience in an operational or Project/Programme Manager role, with a proven track record of leading complex, cross-functional projects ideally within an eCommerce or subscription-based business.
- Delivery Fluency: Practical experience working alongside product and engineering teams. You understand the nuances of digital delivery, from scoping and development to testing and launch, and can plan accordingly.
- PMO Architecture: Experience building or significantly maturing a PMO function, including the selection and rollout of centralised project management tools and standards.
- Problem-Solving & Triage: A talent for breaking down complex strategic goals into manageable plans and the confidence to pause or pivot “in-flight" work to ensure long-term success.
- Risk & Stakeholder Management: Exceptional skills in identifying, tracking, and mitigating project risks, as well as managing the expectations of diverse stakeholders.
- Communication & Influence: The ability to clearly and persuasively communicate project status and risks to both technical teams and senior leadership, navigating diverse stakeholder perspectives.
- Commercial Acumen: A strong understanding of business fundamentals and the ability to connect project outcomes to strategic and financial goals.
What’s in it for you?
- A friendly, welcoming and supportive culture. We believe work should be fun and always put people before process.
- Flexible working with fully remote and hybrid working options.
- 33 days annual leave per year, pro rata. You decide which public holidays to recognise.
- An additional day of annual leave, a Me Day, to take time for yourself.
- Charity day to volunteer and support a registered charity of your choice.
- Westfield Health (including Health Club discount and Westfield Rewards discount and cashback).
- Learning and Development opportunities, with opportunities for internal mobility across various departments / areas of the business.
- 4 x annual salary death in service life assurance.
- Quarterly awards designed to reward and recognise our wonderful Twinkl employees.
- Free Twinkl Subscription.
