Maths Teacher – South Sheffield (S8) | Elevate Supply

Elevate Supply is working in partnership with a welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in South Sheffield (S8), which is looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join their team after the May half term. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a lasting impact on students’ learning and potentially secure a permanent role from September.

Pay Rate: £140 – £200 per day, depending on experience and qualifications.

Contract: Full-time, starting after May half term and continuing through to the end of the academic year, with a strong possibility of a permanent contract from September 2025.

The Role: You’ll be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality maths lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4, working collaboratively with a committed department and supporting students to achieve their best in a supportive school community.

Your Responsibilities

• Teach maths across KS3 and KS4
• Plan, deliver and assess high-quality, differentiated lessons
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Contribute to curriculum planning and enrichment activities
• Attend staff meetings, training, and parent communication as required

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
• A degree in Mathematics or a related subject
• Strong subject knowledge and passion for teaching maths
• Effective classroom management and interpersonal skills
• Experience teaching in a UK secondary school setting
• Availability to start after May half term and commit through to July
• An enhanced DBS on the update service is required (or willingness to obtain one through Elevate Supply)
