Overview
Content Writer/ Editor – Scotland role at Twinkl Educational Publishing. This remote, flexible position is 15 hours per week. Closing Date: 9th September.

Role context
At Twinkl Scotland, we create quality content for Scottish education across ELC, Primary and Secondary. The team focuses on developing resources to support teachers and leaders across the primary curriculum.
Responsibilities
- Planning, organising, writing and editing resources and other content for the site, with monthly targets
- Provide editorial feedback on grammar, punctuation, curriculum relevance and factual accuracy; collaborate with colleagues to elevate resources
- Produce resources aligned to customer needs, current teaching methodologies and curriculum development
- Stay up to date with Scottish initiatives, guidelines and updates
- Identify content opportunities as part of a team to grow the product and discuss new ideas
To succeed in the role
- Strong knowledge of the Scottish Curriculum for Excellence; primary teaching experience (ideally in a leadership role)
- Excellent communication and teamwork; ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and G Suite
- Understanding of the Scottish teaching community, pressures and trends
- Commitment to continuous professional development

- Editing to Twinkl style and Scotland requirements; collaboration with editors

Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of the Scottish Curriculum; leadership experience preferred
- At least three years of primary teaching experience
- Passion for helping teachers build knowledge and confidence across subjects
- Interest in developing resources to navigate policy and curriculum changes
- Ability to create resources with high standards of spelling, punctuation, grammar, relevance and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills
- Creativity and initiative; ability to operate across IT platforms
- Remote work: reliable internet connection (at least 6 Mbps download / 1 Mbps upload)
