We are recruiting for a Quality Assurance (QA) Project Specialist who plays a key role in leading QA projects across manufacturing / facilitiy capability, product and packaging development and continuous improvement. You’ll be tasked with ensuring that all quality and food safety standards / requirements engrained within all new manufacturing lines & technologies, and that these work effectively upon commissioning.
We’re looking for an experienced QA professional with demonstrable FMCG manufacturing and project experience. Autonomy, self organisation and initiative combined with a willingness to turn your hand to anything will be key to your success – so If you possess strong self-drive and coordination, great stakeholder engagement, attention to detail and the ability to adapt to shifting business priorities and at times ambiguity – we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll be a key influencer of how we operate, working cross-functionally with several different departments to drive the Q&FS project design and implementation. This is a specialist role which is integral to the QA function and will support the Quality Assurance team in system compliance, investigations, audits, and training, and help drive continuous improvement of one of the World’s most reconisable brands.
- Managing the Q&FS project design and implementation, ensuring that all Q&FS standards and requirements are integrated into all new manufacturing lines and technologies, and work effectively upon commissioning.
- Be the Q&FS workstream lead for Innovation projects, both product and packaging.
- Tracking project timelines and activities to ensure Q&FS requirements are met and escalating risks or delays to the Quality Manager.
- Working cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Technical, Procurement, Commercial, and other key stakeholders, and external suppliers to ensure compliance and quality in design and execution.
- Coordinating quality deliverables during trials and first productions, ensuring documentation and controls are in place.
- Supporting CI activities and applying problem-solving tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone, DMAIC).
- Helping deliver training and awareness sessions to support new launches and improvements.
- Maintaining project trackers, technical documentation, and quality records related to new developments.
- Providing shop floor quality support within Packing Hall, Blending, and Logistics (interaction and action).
- Investigation and resolving of non-conformances using root cause analysis.
- Reviewing and updating of Q&FS procedures and documentation.
- Training staff on GMP, hygiene, and QMS principles.
- Helping monitor and improve the Integrated Good Practices Management System (GMP, hygiene, pest control).
- Completing complaint investigations and QMS/FSMS-related CAPAs.
- Participating in internal and external audits, supporting documentation and action completion.
- Adapting to increased Q&FS support duties if the business requires a future shift in focus.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- 2+ years experience in FMCG manufacturing production.
- 2+ years experience in Quality Assurance role within manufacturing industry.
- Expierience in managing projects with demonstrable project coordination or project management skills (ideally with Project Management training or Six Sigma Yellow / Green Belt). When it comes to key project and workstreams, you are a key driver rather than passenger.
- Ability to liaise and influence across functions, escalating effectively where needed.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks with a problem solving mindset and experience using RCA or Six Sigma tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Ishikawa)
- Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and an ability to draft clear communications to internal and external stakeholders.
- GCSE (or equivalent) in Science or Maths.
- Proficient communication and collaboration skills, self-motivated and organised and comfortable managing tasks on your own or in a team setting.
- Positive attitude and ability to bring others along the change journey, whilst also being comfortable positively challenging colleagues and stakeholders for the greater good.
