Marvel FMCG is excited to b retained by Twinings UK on hiring a Customer Business Manager for UK grocery.
Today Twinings is a leading name in both hot and cold wellbeing drinks, empowering millions of people to get the most out of life.
Over the past four years they've repositioned the brand as a leader in wellbeing, through strong innovation, including their move into cold sparkling tea and step-change marketing backed by serious media investment.
The result: standout growth and the number one tea brand among under-35s in London.
They've built an organisation designed to be in flow, where everyone has a pivotal role to play. With real momentum behind them, they're now entering the next phase of growth.
That's the business you'd be joining.
The role
This is full commercial ownership: P&L across every format.
You'll lead the Joint Business Plan, the negotiations and the in-store execution, all with a clear line of sight to making Twinings the leading name in wellbeing drinks.
This is where growth gets mechanical, distribution, shelf space, new listings, promotions and availability.
The levers that turn a plan into numbers, won account by account and conversation by conversation.
It's a role for someone energised by ownership and comfortable with ambiguity, someone who makes things happen.
- What you'll be doing
- Owning a UK Retail P&L across every format — sales, margin and trade investment.
- Building and delivering the Joint Business Plan — turning category, shopper and customer insight into clear, actionable growth.
- Driving mechanical growth — distribution gains, shelf space, new listings, sharp promotions and availability nailed across every format.
- Leading the negotiations and trade plans that create long-term, profitable value — with a genuine value-creation mindset, not just a hard bat.
- Owning the forecast — accuracy, risks and opportunities, and the timely course-corrections that keep you on plan.
- Building high-trust relationships that shape decisions and unlock joint growth, and aligning category, supply, marketing and finance behind the plan.
- Who Twinings is looking for
You're a trader at heart.
You've managed a UK Top 6 grocery account and you've got the JBP and negotiation track record to prove it.
You know that mechanical growth is earned — distribution, shelf space, the right listings, promotions that work, availability you can rely on and negotiation is second nature to you.
You own a P&L with confidence, you're highly numerate, and revenue management is in your bones.
You turn data and insight into clear commercial calls and build a business case people buy into.
You're a customer-owner, accountable end-to-end, commercially sharp, part operator and part strategist.
You build trusted relationships and you actively shape decisions.
And you're resilient and decisive, especially when it counts: in the negotiation, and in the recovery.
We value it, but we don't measure people by years alone. If your time's been shorter and your instinct is sharp, tell us your story.
