Description
This role is responsible for end‑to‑end delivery of NPD, Innovation and Supply Chain projects, aligning to business priorities and timelines. It brings together cross‑functional teams to drive clarity, alignment, and pace, ensuring high‑quality execution and informed decision‑making.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver NPD & TSC projects positively and proactively, on time in full.
- Responsible for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of NPD projects of varying complexity.
- Manage markets and other teams expectations through regular effective communication to all stakeholders and team members.
- Work with the Project Lead to plan and define the scope of projects, including clear responsibilities of stakeholders.
- Use appropriate tools/schedules for activity planning and lead project meetings to engage the project team, ensuring project track, stakeholder alignment, and timely risk/issues identification.
- Identify and highlight risks and challenges through the life of a project and collaborate with the project team to find solutions that minimize risks.
- Influencing, managing, briefing and coordinating people across Team Global CS&I (including R&I, NPD & Supply Innovation) and across Tea Supply Chain (including Manufacturing, Technical, Procurement, Data Team, Finance, Supply Chain) and relevant external suppliers (e.g., design agency, material suppliers, co‑packer, etc.) to engage in and deliver projects.
- Create and implement the project timeline and supervise its implementation.
- Coordinate the first production in the production area and monitor the implementation progress until the product is fully approved.
- Ensure project statuses and key milestones are kept accurate and up to date in the NPD Gateway system.
- Update other systems (e.g., EDC for estimated costings), KPIs and Data Bridges with key information to enable project delivery.
- Work with the rest of the Project Managers to support other projects, identify process improvement opportunities and proactively share learnings on projects.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Proven experience managing end‑to‑end projects, concurrently delivering multiple initiatives of varying size and complexity.
- Experience within FMCG or consumer goods, with strong understanding of product development and supply chain environments.
- Demonstrated ability to work across large, cross‑functional and virtual teams, driving engagement, alignment and delivery outcomes.
- Experience managing and influencing a broad range of stakeholders, including senior leaders, to enable effective decision‑making.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability, able to interpret data, identify risks/issues and take proactive action.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to lead effective meetings and drive clarity across stakeholders.
- Customer‑focused mindset with a strong bias for action and delivery.
- Formal project management qualification or working towards it (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP or equivalent).
- Experience working with external partners/suppliers within project delivery environments.
- Exposure to global or multi‑market project delivery.
- Experience contributing to process improvement or transformation initiatives.
