ROLE PURPOSE
The MarTech Lead Engineer – Digital Experience & Commerce Platforms is a hands‑on technical delivery role, accountable for designing, building, and evolving Twinings Ovaltine’s global digital experience ecosystem. With Bloomreach Engagement as the core engagement and personalisation platform, this role supports end‑to‑end technical delivery across Bloomreach Engagement, Commerce (Shopify / Drupal), and the wider web and analytics ecosystem. While operating as the senior technical authority, the role remains actively involved in implementation, integration, optimisation, and problem‑solving.

- Bloomreach Engagement – Personalized Marketing Automation
- Global digital experience and commerce platforms (Shopify / Drupal)
- Web experience, personalisation, experimentation, and analytics enablement
- API‑first, event‑driven MarTech architecture
- Global and local market implementations
- External agencies and delivery partners (technical governance and quality)
Reporting to: MarTech Business Partner
Key Responsibilities
- Bloomreach Engagement platform delivery & leadership
- Act as the hands‑on technical lead and subject‑matter expert for Bloomreach Engagement.
- Design, build, and maintain:
- Event tracking schemas and behavioural data models
- Real‑time segmentation, audiences, and personalisation logic
- API‑driven integrations with CMS, commerce, and data platforms
- Identity resolution
- Consent‑ and privacy‑aware data capture
- Performance, scalability, and reliability
- API between CMS, commerce, and engagement layers
- Server‑side vs client‑side personalisation patterns
- Reusable integration and front‑end components for global and local markets
- Web analytics platforms (e.g. GA4, Adobe Analytics)
- Event pipelines feeding Bloomreach and downstream data platforms
- Accurate behavioural tracking
- Attribution and funnel analysis
- Activation‑ready datasets for marketing and personalisation
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Strong hands‑on engineering capability within MarTech / Digital Experience platforms
- Deep understanding of event‑based tracking, identity, and personalisation
- API design and integration skills within headless architectures
- Ability to balance speed, scalability, security, and privacy
- Strong problem‑solving and technical decision‑making skills
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non‑technical stakeholders
Must‑have:
- Strong hands‑on experience delivering solutions using Bloomreach Engagement.
- Experience designing and delivering API‑first, headless architectures.
- Experience integrating SaaS platforms across a MarTech / DXP ecosystem.
- Proven ability to operate as a senior technical leader while remaining hands‑on in delivery.
Nice‑to‑have
- Experience with Shopify and Drupal, particularly headless or custom storefront builds.
- Familiarity with modern front‑end frameworks (React, Next.js, etc.).
- Experience implementing web analytics solutions (GA4, Adobe, tag management).
- Exposure to CDPs, DAMs, PIMs, or other enterprise MarTech platforms.
- Experience working in global, multi‑market environments.
