The Head of Digital Commerce will have the scope to define and execute Twinings digital commerce strategy across commerce channels including Grocery.com, Marketplaces and B2B - driving profitable online growth and building organisational capability. You’ll lean on your expertise in E-commerce, commercial acumen and strategic thinking, enabling you to balance strategic vision with hands‑on execution, in order to achieve our strategic growth ambition. We’re looking for an agile thinker who prides themselves in driving high performance, challenging status quo and finding solutions (even within ambiguity). You’ll be a strong influencer at all levels, adept at juggling priorities whilst also delivering with rigour and discipline - bringing the ability to understand and simplify complexity and inspire those around you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Marketing Director to set the 5YR Vision & Ambition for Marketplaces, Grocery and our B2B channels defining the role these channels play for our consumer - setting clear growth targets, KPIs, and ensuring the reporting frameworks / rhythm are in place to measure & optimise.
  • Working with the Grocery team, define the Grocery.com strategy and plan, defining customer prioritisation, how to wins as well as the investment required connecting this into customer JBPs.
  • Drive delivery of the Media & Digital shelf, working with associated internal team & external agencies to deliver (Profitero, Dunhumby, Nectar, Brand bank).
  • Develop Senior relationships with key Grocery contacts to influence both the role Twinings plays in Grocery customers and to enable the plan delivery.
  • Define and deliver the Amazon commercial plan to win across 1P & 3P.
  • Own the senior relationship with Amazon influencing Twinings position and coaching the Amazon Commercial Manager to deliver the commercial terms and in year plan.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop the ecommerce media strategy (for example Retail media, Amazon Ads) ensuring these play a clear role with a robust measurement plan.
  • Build organisational eCommerce capability – partnering with key Marketing roles together you will define the skills, tools, processes, and ways of working required to embed digital commerce excellence across commercial, marketing, and supply teams.

  • 5yrs + experience in digital commerce or e-commerce for a consumer-focused brand
  • Strong understanding of the UK grocery and online retail landscape
  • Experience working with major UK retailers inc Amazon
  • Experience leading teams and influencing senior stakeholders
  • Strategic thinking with strong executional focus
  • Data-driven decision-making
