As a Design to Print Technologist you will play a key role in Twinings performance focused and innovative New Product Development team. Accountable for delivery of design to print initiatives related to Twinings NPD and brand redesign projects across our markets, you will be someone who strives for excellence in delivery, is avid about quality and with a commercial mindset, creating pieces of packaging that consumers love. You will need to work across and manage a number of internal stakeholders, within markets, our colleagues within Tea Supply Chain and our New Product Development team. Balancing the market wants against the commercial needs of the business you deliver brilliant customer service for the markets but will challenge where needed to get to the best solution for the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for implementation of design changes, packaging updates & line extensions and some NPD for Twinings packaging, with the aim of ‘Right First Time’
- Evaluate artwork requirements and co-ordinate artwork process from design concept to final packaging
- Manage artwork critical paths, actions and timelines, follow up approvals and elevate where necessary
- Lead all relevant packaging and artwork related meetings from design finalisation through to acceptance of files, including cross-functional pre-production meetings to ensure alignment is gained across all involved parties
- Create repro briefs, approve repro files and ensure all actions associated with repro are completed in a timely manner
- Problem solve across multiple stakeholders to ensure all technical queries are addressed in a timely fashion to enable successful delivery
- Act as interface between internal and external parties (Repro agency, Design agencies, packaging suppliers, internal Regulatory teams, brand Marketing teams, Packaging Engineers, procurement and wider Supply Chain)
- Work with the other packaging team members across the business as a holistic packaging team
- Provide advice & support for any queries related to design/ artwork printing
- Work with Pack Change Technologists to support and drive Design to Print innovation projects
- Work with repro agency to continue to drive efficiencies in delivery

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Experience within FMCG artwork development, preferably within an NPD function
- Excellent knowledge of artwork design and repro process, including DAM and web-based artwork management systems
- Excellent knowledge of packaging print processes and techniques
- Experience in packaging design / project delivery
- Commercial awareness to support delivery of successful NPD projects
- Project management experience with a proven track record of successfully delivering printed packaging solutions
- Technical knowledge of artwork design and development process
- Computer literate in Microsoft packages
