Freelance Animator in London

This role is focused on producing compelling animated visual content for storytelling, utilizing either low-poly 3D or bold 2D vector motion-graphics styles. The animator will be responsible for creating scenes that support voiceover narration, integrating motion-graphics overlays, titles, and map-style callouts to enhance narrative clarity. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of visual storytelling, be adept at translating complex ideas into engaging animations, and demonstrate versatility in both 3D and 2D workflows. The project requires a creative professional who can deliver high-quality, visually appealing content that aligns with specific stylistic references and project objectives.

Deliverables

Develop and animate low-poly 3D scenes with motion-graphics overlays, titles, and map-style callouts

Create alternative 2D vector motion-graphics animations with bold color palettes, crisp shapes, and smooth transitions

Integrate effective typography and visual cues to support voiceover narration

Collaborate on storyboarding and visual concepts to ensure alignment with project goals

Deliver final animated videos in required formats, optimized for clarity and engagement

Requirements

Proven experience in 2D and 3D animation for storytelling or explainer content

Proficiency with Blender, After Effects, Premiere Pro, and/or DaVinci Resolve

Strong portfolio demonstrating both low-poly 3D and vector-based 2D animation styles

Ability to design and animate motion-graphics overlays, titles, and map-style callouts

Excellent sense of timing, composition, and visual narrative

Skilled in typography and color theory for animation

Strong attention to detail and ability to meet project deadlines

Effective communication skills and ability to interpret creative briefs

Availability for a single project engagement
