Social Media Manager in Cheshire, Warrington

This role centers on developing and executing a comprehensive social media strategy to promote a short documentary focused on the complexities of romantic relationships. The Social Media Manager will be responsible for building and maintaining an engaged online audience before, during, and after the film’s release. With access to over 30 hours of documentary footage, you will curate compelling content to sustain audience interest and foster ongoing discussion around the film’s themes. The ideal candidate is passionate about storytelling, understands the nuances of audience engagement, and can translate the film’s message into impactful digital campaigns.
Deliverables

• Design and implement a tailored social media strategy for the documentary’s promotion across key platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, etc.)
• Curate and repurpose documentary footage into engaging posts, stories, and short-form videos
• Schedule and publish regular content to maintain and grow audience engagement
• Monitor analytics to assess campaign performance and adjust tactics as needed
• Respond to audience comments and messages to foster a vibrant online community
• Collaborate with the filmmaker to ensure messaging aligns with the documentary’s vision and goals

Requirements

• Proven experience managing social media for film, media, or creative projects
• Strong understanding of content creation, audience engagement, and platform best practices
• Proficiency in video editing and graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Canva)
• Excellent written communication and storytelling skills
• Ability to analyze social media metrics and adapt strategies accordingly
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently on a remote basis
