Overview
This role is ideal for an experienced audio engineer who can manage the complete setup and operation of audio-recording equipment for a high-profile event in London. The event will feature speeches and interviews with notable guests and will require professional-quality audio capture. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring seamless audio throughout the event, which is scheduled for Tuesday, 10th February 2026, at 5:00pm in London. The position requires on-site presence for the full duration of the event, approximately three hours, and the ability to provide and configure all necessary recording equipment.
Responsibilities
- Arrive on-site in advance to set up audio-recording equipment, including 2–3 microphones (lapel and/or standing mics)
- Test and configure microphones and recording devices to ensure optimal sound quality
- Monitor audio levels and troubleshoot any technical issues during the event
- Record speeches and interviews, ensuring clear and uninterrupted audio capture
- Remain on-site for the entire event to manage equipment and address any issues in real time
- Dismantle and pack up equipment after the event, ensuring all files are safely stored and delivered as required
