As Head of Compliance, you will lead our Skills & Employability provision, ensuring that all supporting documentation and claims are compliant. You will need to be familiar with devolved authority funding claims as well as MOJ and Employability based claims. You will support monthly ILR and other funding returns, ensuring timely and accurate data submissions. Also, ensuring that internal audits are undertaken regularly, and our compliance standards are always maintained and achieved to the highest possible standard. You are a self-starter with a positive attitude, happy to work in a fast-paced environment, able to control your time and workload effectively, ensuring the best outcomes against business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of compliance policies and procedures specific to skills and employability programmes, ensuring alignment with national regulatory standards.
- Conduct regular compliance assessments, audits, and reviews of internal practices to identify potential risks, control gaps, and areas for improvement.
- Identify and evaluate compliance risks within the skills and employability programs, advising management on necessary actions to mitigate these risks.
- Develop and oversee the implementation of risk management strategies related to regulatory compliance, working closely with operational teams to ensure compliance at all stages.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to educate and train teams on compliance best practices, regulatory updates, and changes to policies.
- Coordinate with external regulatory bodies, partners, and other key stakeholders to ensure ongoing compliance and address any regulatory inquiries or concerns.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Experience in a compliance role, with experience in a senior compliance position.
- Demonstrable experience in the skills development, workforce training, or employability sectors, with strong regulatory knowledge specific to these areas.
- Comprehensive understanding of compliance, risk management, and regulatory requirements related to skills and employability.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex compliance situations and propose practical solutions.
- Proficiency in compliance software and tools, with the ability to generate reports and manage data.
