As a Senior Sous you will assist with leading the kitchen team, cook food for our students and the wider academic community. You will assist our Catering Manager with a range of tasks, creating varied menus, training and leading the kitchen team, ensuring compliance with all aspects of food and hygiene safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Menu preparation and costing.
- Assist with the management of stock, orders and inventory.
- Process orders in the absence of the Catering Manager.
- Team schedules and training.
- Always maintain compliance, Food Safety & Health & Safety.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate.
- NVQ L3 or equivalent in Catering & Hospitality.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Comprehensive knowledge of COSHH and Food Safety Regulations.
- Available to work a range of shifts, including weekends, bank holidays and evenings as required.
