As a Skills Coach / Assessor you will provide a varied programme of delivery in line with the required qualification standards and offer an integrated programme of teaching, training, support, mentoring and development of learners. Coach and assess learners within their workplace with the support of their line manager/mentor to ensure the timely achievement of their Apprenticeship. This role will require travel for direct observations and would be ideally suited to a person situated in the East of England / Southeast; with travel being essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Coach, assess and support apprentices undertaking Level 2 and Level 3 Adult Care programmes
- Deliver high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment both remotely and in the workplace
- Conduct progress reviews and provide constructive feedback to support learner development
- Support apprentices to achieve Functional Skills where required
- Prepare and guide learners towards End Point Assessment (EPA)
- Maintain accurate records in line with quality assurance and compliance requirements
- Build strong relationships with employers to ensure a positive apprenticeship experience
Essential Requirements
- TAQA/CAVA + IQA or equivalent assessor qualification
- Teaching qualification (e.g., PTLLS/AET or equivalent)
- Level 3+ Adult Care qualification
- Strong Adult Care sector experience within the last 3 years
- Knowledge of L2/L3 Adult Care standards
- Experience of coaching/mentoring apprentices
- Experience of portfolio-based assessment
- Strong communication, organisation and ICT skills
The successful candidate must be able to work in the UK.
