The Role
As the General Manager, you will lead all aspects of the manufacturing facility. Specifically, you will lead the manufacturing, customer service, finance and technical teams, optimising production processes, maintaining quality standards, and driving overall efficiency, while monitoring safety protocols to mitigate risk.
As a strategic leader in the business, you will deliver on financial goals, manage budgets and identify opportunities for strategic growth. Implementing best practices to enhance productivity, you will reduce downtime and costs, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and product quality requirements.
Additionally, You Will
- Oversee and co-ordinate day-to-day manufacturing operations
- Monitor and maintain stock levels to meet production demands
- Conduct performance evaluations, and support employee development plans
- Manage and improve factory scrap and rework
- Manage relationships with key suppliers
About You
To be considered as a General Manager, you will need:
- At least five years experience as a leader, planning and managing a complex manufacturing operation
- Excellent process improvement skills
- Strong numerical and analytical abilities
- A natural leadership style with strong interpersonal skills across various disciplines
- Problem-solving expertise and excellent time management and planning abilities
- Good IT skills, including MS Excel
