Role

As the Employment & Housing Transitions Lead, you will support our clients\’ tenants and the wider refugee community in Coventry with meaningful, accurate careers advice. Your goal is to help tenants and individuals find sustainable employment, training, education and/or volunteering. You will also work as part of a new initiative to get refugees hired, retained and progressed within the workplace, building strong relationships with employers, housing providers and local training providers.

Managing a Caseload of Individuals

• Design and deliver employability workshops and sessions
• Engage with support organisations and employers to speak at workshops/events
• Attend job fairs, stakeholder events and organisational events
• Act as the point of contact for employers regarding projects
• Visit, monitor and oversee individuals while in employment
• Maintain records on the CRM system

About You

• Experience offering information, advice, guidance, coaching, mentoring or advisory support
• Experience working with refugees, migrants or asylum seekers
• Knowledge of IAG guidelines and frameworks
• Understanding of the local labour market
• Level 4 Information Advice and Guidance qualification (or willingness to work towards it)
