Role We are seeking an experienced Indirect Tax & E‑Invoicing Manager to help shape how we meet our global tax obligations in an increasingly digital environment. This role suits someone with deep technical expertise and a pragmatic, delivery‑focused approach, who takes pride in producing work of the highest standard because at Acushnet, we live by the credo "autograph your work with excellence". Reporting into the US based Global Indirect Tax Team, but based at our office in St Ives, Cambridgeshire, you will oversee VAT compliance across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring accurate and timely preparation, review and submission of returns. You will own VAT account reconciliations, safeguard reporting integrity and resolve issues confidently. You will monitor global indirect tax developments, translating regulatory change into practical business solutions. A key focus will be leading the rollout and management of mandatory e‑invoicing and real‑time reporting, working closely with finance and IT to embed compliant solutions within ERP and accounting systems. You will also strengthen governance, internal controls and documentation, embedding compliance into day‑to‑day processes while supporting automation and efficiency. As a trusted business partner, you will provide clear, practical guidance on VAT implications relating to new business models, cross‑border activity and supply chain change.

About you You will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics, along with a recognised professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent. You will bring extensive experience in indirect tax within a multinational environment, supported by a strong understanding of global VAT/GST compliance frameworks and emerging e‑invoicing regulations. Hands‑on experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP DRC and OneSource Tax Determination is essential. Equally important is your ability to collaborate across functions and geographies, communicate complex topics clearly, and approach your work with care, ownership and attention to detail. You will be someone who takes pride in doing things properly.
