Salary: £90,000 – £100,000 + Excellent Package

The Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a major National Grid infrastructure project in Oswestry. This is a long-term opportunity within an Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) environment, offering approximately 4–5 years of project security and excellent career progression within a nationally significant energy programme.

Reporting directly to the Senior Operations Manager, you will take full ownership of project delivery from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring programme, commercial, safety and quality objectives are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the successful delivery of a major National Grid infrastructure project from pre-construction through to completion.
  • Manage project programme, budgets, commercial performance and risk.
  • Lead multidisciplinary project teams, subcontractors and key stakeholders.
  • Work within an Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) framework to influence design and delivery strategy.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
  • Maintain strong relationships with National Grid, clients and supply chain partners.
  • Provide regular project reporting to senior leadership.
  • Drive continuous improvement across project delivery.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager delivering major infrastructure or energy projects.
  • Strong National Grid or UK utilities framework experience.
  • Experience delivering one or more of the following: High Voltage Substations, Underground Cabling and/or Overhead Line (OHL) Projects.
  • Degree qualified in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
  • Excellent leadership, commercial and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong understanding of project controls, risk management and programme delivery.
