  • Ensure compliance with UK environmental regulations and recognised standards (e.g., BREEAM, ISO 14001).
  • Establish and track sustainability KPIs, reporting progress to key stakeholders.
  • Engage with supply chain partners to promote responsible sourcing and circular economy approaches.
  • Support the achievement of net-zero targets and sustainability certifications.
  • Deliver training and raise awareness of sustainability best practices within project teams.
  • Keep abreast of industry developments, legislation, and emerging technologies.

About You

  • Demonstrated experience in a sustainability-focused role within construction or industrial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of UK environmental legislation and sustainability frameworks.
  • Experience working with certification schemes such as BREEAM or equivalent.
  • Understanding of industrial construction environments (e.g., data centres, manufacturing).
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and drive sustainable decision-making.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and reporting skills.
  • Degree in environmental science, engineering, sustainability, or a related discipline.
  • Professional membership (e.g., IEMA, CIBSE, LEED AP) is advantageous.

Desirable Experience

  • Previous involvement in food manufacturing or data centre projects.
  • Familiarity with digital carbon tracking or environmental reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of renewable energy and low-carbon technologies.
