We are a well-established Building Services and Facilities Management contractor delivering planned and reactive maintenance services across a diverse portfolio of commercial properties in Central London. Due to continued growth, we are looking to appoint a proactive SHEQ Advisor to support and improve safety, health, environmental, and quality standards across our operations.
As a SHEQ Advisor, you will work closely with operational teams to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, company procedures, and client requirements. This is a hands-on role with regular site presence across Central London contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and maintain a positive SHEQ culture across all contracts
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Support the development and review of RAMS, COSHH, and safe systems of work
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and non-conformances, producing clear reports
- Provide SHEQ advice and guidance to engineers, supervisors, and management
- Assist with maintaining ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001)
- Deliver toolbox talks and SHEQ briefings where required
- Monitor subcontractor compliance and performance
- Ensure accurate SHEQ documentation and records are maintained
About You
- Previous experience in a SHEQ, HSEQ, or Health & Safety role within Facilities Management, Building Services, or M&E
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) – essential
- Strong knowledge of UK health & safety legislation
- Experience working on live FM / maintenance environments
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence operational teams
- Proactive, organised, and able to work independently
Desirable
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate
- ISO internal auditor experience
- Membership of IOSH (or working towards)
