We are a well-established Building Services and Facilities Management contractor delivering planned and reactive maintenance services across a diverse portfolio of commercial properties in Central London. Due to continued growth, we are looking to appoint a proactive SHEQ Advisor to support and improve safety, health, environmental, and quality standards across our operations.

As a SHEQ Advisor, you will work closely with operational teams to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, company procedures, and client requirements. This is a hands-on role with regular site presence across Central London contracts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and maintain a positive SHEQ culture across all contracts
  • Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
  • Support the development and review of RAMS, COSHH, and safe systems of work
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and non-conformances, producing clear reports
  • Provide SHEQ advice and guidance to engineers, supervisors, and management
  • Assist with maintaining ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001)
  • Deliver toolbox talks and SHEQ briefings where required
  • Monitor subcontractor compliance and performance
  • Ensure accurate SHEQ documentation and records are maintained

About You

  • Previous experience in a SHEQ, HSEQ, or Health & Safety role within Facilities Management, Building Services, or M&E
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) – essential
  • Strong knowledge of UK health & safety legislation
  • Experience working on live FM / maintenance environments
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence operational teams
  • Proactive, organised, and able to work independently

Desirable

  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate
  • ISO internal auditor experience
  • Membership of IOSH (or working towards)
