About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Planner to join my clients team on a flagship construction project. You will play a pivotal role in the development, coordination, and management of project schedules across pre-construction and delivery phases. Working closely with project managers, design teams, and commercial leads, you’ll ensure our programme remains robust, efficient, and aligned with strategic project milestones. This is a hybrid role, offering flexibility to work from home and attend site or office locations as needed. Candidates can be based anywhere in the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead project planning activities across pre-construction and major build phases.
  • Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using industry-standard planning software.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to identify risks, opportunities, and programme improvements.
  • Provide planning insight during design development, procurement, and construction sequencing.
  • Prepare progress reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior stakeholders.
  • Support the project team in achieving on-time, on-budget delivery.

About You

  • Proven experience as a Planner/Senior Planner on large-scale construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of pre-construction workflows and major build programme requirements.
  • Proficiency in planning tools (e.g., Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject or similar).
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to influence and drive best practice.
