Our client, a leading UK civil engineering and infrastructure contractor, is seeking an experienced Site Agent to join their team on a major highways improvement scheme in Didcot. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of a high-profile infrastructure project, managing site operations and ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, and within budget.
The Role
As Site Agent, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day delivery of works, managing site teams and subcontractors, and ensuring project objectives are achieved in line with contractual and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the successful delivery of highways and infrastructure works on site.
- Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and plant resources.
- Ensure works are carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures.
- Monitor programme, productivity, quality, and cost performance.
- Prepare and review RAMS, work package plans, and site documentation.
- Liaise with the Project Manager, client representatives, and key stakeholders.
- Support commercial and planning teams in achieving project objectives.
- Drive a positive safety culture and ensure compliance with all HSEQ requirements.
- Identify and manage project risks and opportunities.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Agent within civil engineering or highways construction.
- Experience delivering major highways, roads, earthworks, drainage, structures, or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and project delivery processes.
- SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid qualifications.
- HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
