An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Design Manager to join a growing engineering and energy solutions business delivering complex infrastructure and decarbonisation projects across the UK. This role offers the opportunity to lead multidisciplinary design teams on a diverse portfolio of projects ranging from feasibility studies through to major energy and infrastructure schemes valued up to 30m.
As Design Manager, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the design process from concept through to commissioning, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, within budget, and to the highest technical standards. Working closely with project delivery teams, consultants, subcontractors, and clients, you will provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle while managing design programmes, technical risks, and project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the design process across multiple projects from development through to delivery.
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients and key stakeholders.
- Provide technical support to project teams throughout construction and commissioning.
- Manage multidisciplinary design teams and external design consultants.
- Coordinate design programmes, surveys, and other related activities.
