My client are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join a growing and forward-thinking construction business delivering complex projects across data centres, food manufacturing facilities, and large-scale industrial developments. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute estimator who thrives in a technically challenging environment and wants to play a key role in securing and shaping high-value projects.
The Role
As Senior Estimator, you will take ownership of the full estimating process from initial enquiry through to final submission, ensuring accurate, competitive, and commercially viable tenders. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for large-scale construction projects
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, and employer’s requirements
- Managing take-offs, pricing, and value engineering exercises
- Working closely with commercial, design, and operational teams
- Engaging with supply chain partners to obtain competitive quotations
- Identifying risks and opportunities within bids and advising senior management accordingly
- Supporting pre-construction planning and bid strategy
About You
- Proven experience as a Senior Estimator (or strong Estimator ready to step up) within construction
- Background in industrial, manufacturing, or technically complex projects
- Strong understanding of construction methods, contracts, and procurement routes
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and negotiation skills
- Confident communicator able to work with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office
