We are seeking an accomplished Project Director with extensive experience in the industrial construction sector to lead major design-and-build projects across Essex and the surrounding regions. This is a pivotal leadership role, overseeing the full project lifecycle — from pre-construction and planning through to delivery and handover — ensuring safety, quality, and profitability at every stage.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead multiple large-scale industrial projects (warehousing, logistics centres, manufacturing facilities, or similar).
- Oversee project teams including Project Managers, Site Managers, and Engineers.
- Manage budgets, schedules, and client relationships to ensure successful delivery.
- Provide strategic leadership on procurement, value engineering, and risk management.
- Champion safety, sustainability, and quality throughout project execution.
- Report directly to the Board and work closely with commercial and operational teams.
About You
- Proven experience as a Project Director or Senior Project Manager within industrial or commercial build environments.
- Strong technical understanding of steel frame, cladding, and complex M&E integration.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams.
- Track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- CSCS Black Card, SMSTS, and relevant industry certifications desirable.
