We are working with a leading international design and build contractor delivering complex industrial, logistics, advanced manufacturing and data centre projects across the UK and Europe. Due to continued growth and a strong secured pipeline of work, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of major construction projects from pre-construction through to completion. The Role
As Senior Project Manager, you will take full operational responsibility for the delivery of large-scale construction projects, leading project teams and coordinating all stakeholders to ensure successful project execution. You will play a key role in programme management, commercial awareness, team leadership and client engagement, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the successful delivery of complex construction projects from inception through to completion
- Manage and coordinate all project resources including labour, materials, subcontractors and plant
- Develop and maintain project programmes in collaboration with the Project Director
- Ensure projects are delivered in line with budgetary and commercial objectives
- Drive exceptional standards of health and safety, quality and environmental compliance across site operations
- Build, manage and develop high-performing project teams
- Coordinate consultants, architects, subcontractors and wider project stakeholders
- Chair regular progress and coordination meetings with internal and external teams
- Monitor construction progress and proactively resolve issues to maintain programme targets
- Maintain accurate project reporting and ensure project control systems are updated effectively
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients and maintain strong working relationships throughout the project lifecycle
Requirements
- Proven experience delivering large-scale construction projects as a Senior Project Manager
- Strong background within industrial, logistics, manufacturing, pharmaceutical or data centre construction environments
- Relevant construction or engineering qualifications
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Strong commercial and programme management capability
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders within fast-paced project environments
- Experience using Microsoft Project or similar planning software
- Thorough understanding of construction health and safety and compliance standards
- First Aid qualification desirable
