Job Description
Retail Supervisor at twentytwentyone
twentytwentyone has been established for over 25 years as one of London’s foremost retailers of classic and contemporary design. Supplying furniture, lighting and accessories from world leading designers and manufacturers.
We welcome applicants to join our growing and friendly retail team, where we are recognised for our uniqueness and our diverse talents. Our culture is what makes twentytwentyone a warm and rewarding place to work.This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and motivated individual to work alongside our Retail Management, leading a small but dedicated team. Advising our customers and growing sales at our Shop in Islington.
37.5 hours, working 5 days per week, including 3 out 4 weekends. 9.30am-6.15pm Monday-Saturday. Sunday 10:30am-5:15pm. Based at our shop on Upper Street N1, with flexibility to work at various locations such as our twentytwentyone showroom in EC1R.
What you'll need to have
You will have experience in leading and motivating a team within the furniture and design sectors. Strong organisational and administrative skills, with attention to detail and accuracy. You will have a proven track record of sales excellence individually and within a team. As a key part of the retail team, you will be passionate to create a twentytwentyone fit for the future with our customers and brand at heart.
Areas of responsibility include
- Provide support to the Retail Manager and Assistant Manager across all operational areas
- Ensure the highest service levels are maintained at all times, providing a well-informed, polite and friendly experience
- Support the team to ensure Shop and Showroom targets are exceeded
- Respond to email enquiries and follow up sales and service enquiries
- Continually develop sales procedures aimed at providing a seamless customer journey
- Take pride in ensuring customer experience continues to reflect company values
- Provide a high level of communication between colleagues and across departments
- Oversee and maintain the shop environment, ensuring high standards are consistent
- Oversee retail stock movements across multiple locations
The ideal candidate will have
- At least three years direct experience in design-led retail management
- A passion for classic twentieth century and contemporary design
- Deep enthusiasm for twentytwentyone and our products
- Strong organisational and administrative skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
- Natural initiative and problem-solving skills, always aiming to set an example for colleagues
- Flexibility and keenness to carry out all aspects of the role
