Vice President / Senior Vice President, Medical Strategy
Responsible for leading scientific strategy, medical communications offerings, business growth, and high-performing teams across multiple therapeutic areas.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies that support organizational growth, client success, and operational excellence.
- Provide oversight across multiple business areas and ensure teams support current client needs and future growth.
- Participate in enterprise-wide initiatives to strengthen capabilities and advance strategic priorities.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, providing strategic counsel across medical affairs, scientific communications, publications, evidence generation, and stakeholder engagement.
- Guide high-level scientific strategy and client recommendations ensuring excellence in execution.
- Identify opportunities for organic account growth through partnership and proactive client engagement.
- Lead, mentor, and develop multidisciplinary scientific teams, fostering accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Help establish scalable processes, clear team structures, and strong leadership practices.
- Partner with senior leaders across functions to maximize team performance and client impact.
- Lead scientific strategy for pitches, proposals, workshops, and client presentations in new business efforts.

Qualifications
- 10+ years of healthcare communications, medical affairs, or related experience (VP) or 12+ years of progressive leadership (SVP).
- Demonstrated responsibility for business growth, organizational leadership, and strategic decision-making.
- Agency experience with leadership across medical affairs, promotional medical education, and scientific visualization.
- Advanced scientific degree (Ph D, Pharm D, MD, or equivalent).
- Track record leading large teams, complex client portfolios, and cross-functional initiatives.
- Ability to drive new business, organic growth, and executive-level client relationships with strong financial, operational, and strategic acumen.
- Cardiovascular experience desired but not required; other therapeutic expertise welcomed.
- Experience applying AI-enabled tools and innovation strategies within healthcare communications, with understanding of scientific, regulatory, and operational considerations.

- $185,000–$225,000
