About the role

The Media Science team is expanding and we are seeking a Senior Specialist for the Paid Search team. In this role you will create, maintain, and optimize search ad campaigns using analytics, automation, and internal tooling. You will work alongside at least one other senior team member, but are expected to execute and report on paid search campaigns independently.

What you’ll do

  • Lead launch of search campaigns, including setup, ad trafficking, and QA across platforms such as Google, Microsoft Ads (Bing), Apple Search Ads, and others.
  • Monitor, manage, analyze, optimize, and develop assigned campaigns on a day‑to‑day basis.
  • Assist in the campaign planning process with recommendations for approaches, audience targeting, and measurement.
  • Build and present campaign‑related analyses and performance results, covering reporting, audience deep dives, bid strategies, experiment outcomes, creative analysis, and landing‑page strategy.
  • Drive and implement optimizations and new strategies, including bid approaches, ad‑copy A/B tests, and audience testing to improve performance.
  • Ideate new analytical methodologies to further optimize our campaigns.
  • Validate data analyses by reviewing and auditing reporting data or creating new analyses that better serve clients or improve efficiency.
  • Manage media finance and billing needs for paid search campaigns.

Who you are and what you have

  • 2–3 years of professional experience managing paid search campaigns on Google, Microsoft Ads (Bing), or Apple Search Ads.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in analytics, advertising, ad tech, or media.
  • Experience managing an independent $1M+ budget is a plus.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership and critical thinking by identifying and correcting campaign setup errors or optimization opportunities.

  • Fundamental understanding of paid search advertising.
  • In‑platform experience with Google, Microsoft Ads (Bing), or Apple Search Ads.
  • High proficiency with Excel.
  • Strong math and statistics foundational knowledge.
  • Proven ability to work independently and efficiently.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Time‑management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Experience presenting work to internal teams and clients, with a desire to grow this skill.
  • Aptitude for deeply interpreting data and analytics.
  • Prior agency experience is a plus.

Compensation

The base salary for this position is $80,000–$90,000. This range is posted in compliance with state and municipal pay‑transparency laws. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible to receive additional Known benefits.
