About the role: This is a Senior individual contributor role for a commercially sharp, self‑directed sales professional with a proven background in consultancy, marketing services, or people solutions environments. In the near term, the focus is squarely on new business — building pipeline from scratch, opening conversations with brands that don’t yet know OLIVER, and winning their confidence and their budgets. There is no existing book of accounts to inherit. You’ll be building one. Over time, as your client base grows, you’ll transition into deepening those relationships—identifying new workstreams, expanding scope, and becoming a strategic partner to the clients you’ve brought in. This is a role for someone who is genuinely energised by the hunt, and motivated by the idea of farming what they’ve won themselves.
What you will be doing:
- Generating leads through proactive telephone outreach and social media marketing
- Selling a range of creative and digital agency services, such as online and offline creative design, social media management, digital solutions, copywriting, videography, and marketing technology
- Building and maintaining long‑term, profitable client relationships while delivering exceptional service to existing customers
- Identifying and capitalising on new business development opportunities to grow and sustain a strong customer base
- Expanding market opportunities through diverse sales channels and strategies
- Collecting and analysing sales data to uncover insights and optimise performance
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends, products, and competitor activities to inform and enhance sales efforts
What you need to be great in this role:
- A demonstrable track record of winning net‑new business in complex B2B environments—opening accounts from cold and seeing them through to close
- Background in a consultancy, marketing agency, people solutions (HR tech, talent, workforce management), business intelligence, or professional services context
- Comfort operating without an existing pipeline or inherited accounts—you know how to build from zero and stay motivated doing it
- Confidence navigating complex organisations and building relationships wherever needed to move a deal forward and close it
- Experience that spans the full new business cycle, with farming and account development as a natural next stage you’ve navigated before
Market and Language: We have two openings—one serving Dutch‑speaking markets, one serving German‑speaking markets. Please indicate in your application which role you’re applying for.
- Dutch‑speaking role: Professional proficiency in Dutch and English—both are essential; strong working knowledge of the Netherlands and broader EMEA business landscape, including cultural and commercial nuances across markets
- German‑speaking role: Professional proficiency in German and English—both are essential; strong working knowledge of the German and broader EMEA business landscape, including cultural and commercial nuances across markets
Additional language skills are a real asset—particularly Spanish, Italian, or any Nordic language, given the breadth of markets these roles cover.
Skills and Approach:
- Clear, compelling communication and storytelling—able to translate complex value propositions into language that resonates with decision‑makers across all levels
- Proficiency with CRM tools and disciplined pipeline management
- Familiarity with Gen AI tools relevant to sales and business development workflows
- Agentic, outcomes‑focused mindset: systematic and self‑directed approach to building and converting pipeline independently
Our values shape everything we do:
- Be Ambitious to succeed
- Be Imaginative to push the boundaries of what’s possible
- Be Inspirational to do groundbreaking work
- Be always learning and listening to understand
- Be Results‑focused to exceed expectations
- Be actively pro‑inclusive and anti‑racist across our community, clients and creations
