5W is seeking a Senior Account Executive to join 5W’s Tech practice. The ideal individual will have worked with Tech-based clients within an agency setting, is an expert at pitching and possesses superior account and time management skills. Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Create and develop media materials – press kits, press releases, media alerts, fact sheets, bios, case studies and backgrounders
  • Develop pro‑active pitch ideas for clients based on their industry, current trends and various announcements
  • Drive consistent and impactful media results across your portfolio of clients
  • Develop and nurture relationships with influential members of the Tech media and industry to develop placements
  • Contribute to strategic communication plans, including media opportunities, tactics, and timelines as needed
  • Monitor media and seek out speaking opportunities for clients as “experts in their field”, as needed
  • Provide strong guidance and leadership to junior‑level staff
  • Daily client interaction to update, report on and discuss media relations
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop strategic/creative thinking for clients
  • Additional research, duties and projects as required

Here’s what you have:

  • S/B.A in Public Relations or related field
  • 3-4 years of PR agency experience – with Tech experience preferred
  • The ability to drive a robust volume of meaningful, top‑tier placements
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Creative and energetic personality!
