DEPT is hiring on behalf of a client within the financial services and risk management space for a Data Product Manager. The role is for a 3-month contract, evaluated quarterly, and likely to extend.
Responsibilities:- Define and own the product strategy and long-term vision, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
- Lead and scale high-performing product teams, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, and ongoing development.
- Establish clear team structures, decision-making hierarchies, and operating cadences to support efficient execution.
- Manage the full product lifecycle from discovery and ideation through launch, iteration, and sunset.
- Conduct market research, customer discovery, and competitive analysis to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities.
- Apply Agile and Lean methodologies to optimize product development workflows, delivery predictability, and cross-team collaboration.
- Drive roadmap planning, forecasting, and velocity management to ensure realistic commitments and on-time delivery.
- Partner closely with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and operations to define, prioritize, and deliver product requirements.
- Champion user-centered design principles to deliver intuitive, high-quality user experiences.
