R/GA is seeking a hybrid Midweight Content Designer who can write confidently and compellingly within clients' digital ecosystem. This is a full-time role based in either Sydney or Melbourne, reporting to our Creative Director, Verbal Design. Content designers are the safe pair of hands, helping to solve briefs and contributing work that has a high level of craft behind it.
In this role, you’ll work across ongoing content design projects for clients, with responsibility for creating clear, useful, and customer‑centred content. In any given week, that might entail writing incisive landing page copy, sharpening UX flows, or developing engaging customer experiences across the client’s website and through ongoing uplift initiatives. While this role is primarily focused on content design for clients, there’ll be opportunities to hone brand and verbal design skills over time, learning how to define tone of voice, messaging, and brand storytelling at a more conceptual level.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Support content design across key client digital initiatives, writing, editing, and optimising website content, landing pages, product and service content, EDMs, and editorial content.
- Use AI‑assisted workflows to create and update content and maintain brand consistency.
- Turn complex information into clear, accessible and useful content that helps customers understand, choose and act.
- Work collaboratively in agile, multidisciplinary teams across UX, brand, product, engineering and client stakeholders.
- Contribute to presentations and explain content decisions clearly, to internal teams and clients, grounding recommendations in customer insight, UX principles and brand guidelines.
- Contribute to brand / verbal identity work streams when opportunities arise.
Ideal Candidate Requirements
- Has experience as a content designer, is comfortable with digital journeys and UX/content design, and is seeking to embed themselves into the client's team.
- Possesses an analytical mindset applicable to the early stages of a brief.
- Demonstrates an eagerness to keep learning and building.
- Demonstrates the potential to own work, think strategically and systematically about language, improve collaboration and communication skills, and support the wider team as needed.
- Has learning agility and is able to work proactively and collaboratively with other teams to shape work.
- Has experience writing for websites or digital products and a good understanding of UX writing/content design.
- Understands accessibility, SEO, and content hierarchy, with the ability to use insights, data, or guidelines to inform copy.
- Displays a desirable interest in brand/verbal design.
- Is adept at using AI tools, Figma, and Google Workspace to create and present work.
