The Role

At Teneo, we provide expert cyber security strategy, risk and response advisory within a multi‐disciplinary environment, working closely with our strategy and communications, risk advisory and restructuring teams across a globally connected platform. We are seeking highly experienced Cyber Response Managing Directors to join our growing global cyber team. This role is suited to a senior cyber security leader with deep expertise in cyber response and recovery, including advising organisations on remediation and leading longer‐term post‐incident transformation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and growth of our cyber response offering, combining senior advisory delivery with business development, market leadership and team building.
  • Lead and grow Teneo's cyber response and recovery offering, defining market positioning, developing propositions and driving sustained revenue growth.
  • Originate and lead complex, high‐value engagements, acting as a senior advisor to C‐suite stakeholders and boards during cyber incidents and crisis situations.
  • Provide strategic direction during major cyber events, shaping response, stabilisation and recovery efforts across technical, operational and communications dimensions.
  • Advise clients on cyber resilience, crisis preparedness and post‐incident transformation, supporting long‐term capability development.
  • Build and maintain senior client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor in high‐pressure and business‐critical situations.
  • Build, lead and scale high‐performing teams across jurisdictions, developing senior talent and fostering a strong, entrepreneurial culture.
  • Contribute to Teneo's market profile through thought leadership, publications, public speaking and engagement with industry bodies.

Key Skills & Experience

  • You will be a recognised leader in cyber response and recovery, with a strong track record of shaping client outcomes, originating work and leading in high‐pressure environments.
  • Extensive experience in cyber security and incident response, with a track record of leading complex, large‐scale incidents and recovery efforts across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Demonstrated ability to originate and grow business, with established relationships at C‐suite, board and senior technical levels.
  • Recognised market profile in cyber response, crisis management and/or cyber resilience, with the ability to shape client thinking and influence senior decision‐making.
  • Deep understanding of cyber response and recovery, including incident management, forensics, remediation and post‐incident transformation.
  • Proven leadership capability, with experience building, scaling and leading high‐performing teams in a global, multi‐disciplinary environment.
