About the role
Working with our client, the Integrated Designer takes digital, print and social content projects from brief to completion. This role will provide new ideas and creativity whilst working closely with our client’s brand guidelines. This is a great opportunity to work within a team, creating impactful communications across South Africa and developing design best practices for various brands.
What you will be doing
- Work on projects from start to finish - working collaboratively with Junior and Senior Integrated Designers on asset creation and implementation.
- Produce design concepts with a clear rationale to influence clients with creative input, in addition to undertaking and pitching new creative concepts.
- Look for ways to develop new design within the guidelines, marketing and production opportunities.
- Create inspiring and exciting content – from new ideation, to repurposing and reformatting of assets from a global toolkit.
- Retouching of packs, lock up design, layout and illustration.
- Be a brand guardian. Developing a deep understanding of the brands, categories, and audiences, and create consumer-first assets that bring the brand message to life.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, with various deliverables, on a campaign ideation level. Effectively manage workloads within agreed timescales.
- Proactively monitor quality, accuracy and consistency.
- Keenly evaluate and monitor industry trends and brands, research industry developments in branding and marketing to be at the forefront of creative excellence.
What you need to be great in this role
- Excellent client engagement skills with the ability to proactively organise and influence clients and build strong and effective working relationships.
- Passionate about design & social media and understand the latest innovations in digital & social design.
- An innate creative flair, strong art direction and concepting skills – full of ideas across multi-platforms.
- Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop.
- Motion and video skills using After Effects & Premiere. Storyboarding animation concepts.
- Strong typography, layout and technical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- An understanding how to work across online banners (static and animated), social media posts (primarily Instagram and Meta), print/ POS, and eComm.
- Ability to accurately prepare files for both print and web and run the relevant pre-production checks.
- An understanding of responsive design across all digital platforms.
- An understanding of the latest Social and Digital technology trends.
- Working on print-based collateral with great knowledge of branding.
- The ability to talk through your ideas confidently with the team and clients.
- Keen eye for detail.
- Loves working in a fast-paced adaptable environment.
- Work proactively under own initiative and as part of the design team.
- Experience in FMCG or Healthcare sectors are ideal.
Experience
4+ years of relevant experience in Digital, Motion Graphics, Artwork, Print & POS, Production.
