About the role

Role: Copywriter — 2.5 days a week, 12 month FTC

Location: London, United Kingdom

As a copywriter, you will develop original, on-brand copy and editorial content across a wide range of briefs, channels, and audiences—from campaign headlines and video scripts to digital content, thought leadership, event and marketing collateral, email campaigns, and long-form communications. You will work closely with designers, motion specialists, and client stakeholders to bring briefs to life with clarity, creativity, and a consistent editorial voice. You will operate within a regulated financial services environment, ensuring compliance, substantiation, and appropriate disclaimers while keeping copy compelling. You will also explore smart ways to leverage AI tools to enhance output and efficiency while maintaining the client’s tone of voice and marketing objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop original, on-brand copy across campaigns, video scripts, digital content, thought leadership, event collateral, email, and long-form communications.
  • Produce copy for industry events and conference materials, adapting tone and format for exhibition, sponsorship, and delegate-facing contexts.
  • Lead tone of voice consistency across all account copy, develop conceptual themes and headlines, and make proactive creative direction recommendations for B2B audiences.
  • Research the client’s target audiences, products, and competitive landscape to inform and maintain brand voice guidelines.
  • Ensure all copy meets regulatory and compliance standards with required substantiation and disclaimers.

Collaboration & Client Service:

  • Work with designers, motion specialists, and account leads to develop integrated creative ideas.
  • Build effective relationships with client stakeholders to surface product information, USPs, and business context.
  • Manage multiple live projects simultaneously, delivering accurate, high-quality copy to tight deadlines.
  • Contribute to a positive studio culture and keep timesheets and administrative tasks up to date.

Gen AI & Agentic Thinking:

  • Integrate AI tools into copy and editorial workflows, build effective prompts, and critically evaluate AI-generated results before use.
  • Apply an agentic approach to complex, multi-format briefs, breaking them into clear steps and finding efficient paths to the best creative outcome.

Qualifications

  • A strong B2B copywriting portfolio across multiple formats, translating complex technical or commercial information into clear, engaging content.
  • Experience writing thought leadership, sector-led editorial, or long-form content, with ability to develop narratives from research, data, and complex subject matter.
  • Familiarity with regulated industries such as financial services or insurance, including writing within compliance, substantiation, or legal review frameworks.
  • Exposure to international campaigns and transcreation or localisation processes is advantageous.
  • A structured, organised approach to managing multiple concurrent projects without compromising quality or deadlines.
  • Strong briefing skills to identify business challenges, ask the right questions early, and propose copy solutions with clear creative reasoning.
  • Experience building productive working relationships with designers, account leads, and client stakeholders in a collaborative creative environment.
  • Practical experience using AI tools within copywriting or editorial workflows, including prompt-building and evaluation of AI-generated output.
  • A methodical, adaptive approach to complex briefs and the ability to break multi-format challenges into manageable steps under pressure.
  • Formal degrees are welcome but not required; equivalent experience counts (experience can be gained through work, study, volunteering, or self-directed learning).

Note: This role is part of The Brandtech Group and may be eligible for hybrid working arrangements.
